The navigation menu is your Refined site’s main menu, located at the top of all pages.

Site content

It reflects the content that you added to your site in the Site Builder into parent items and child items.

(single column)

1. Go to the Site Builder.

2. Add a Menu Folder as a parent item.

3. Add child items to it.

1. Add a Menu Folder as a parent item.

2. Add multiple Menu Folders to it as child items.

3. Add multiple child items to each of these Menu Folders.

Exclude content from the menu

In some cases, you want to add content to a site but not display it in the Navigation Menu. For example to use information from a specific Confluence space in a module, but not show it to all users.

To exclude a content item, go to the Site Builder and toggle off Show in the navigation menu in the content item’s settings. You see the settings menu when you add a new content item. To edit an existing content item, click the item’s Cogwheel > Edit.

Menu style

There are two styles to choose from. The content menu shows the structure of your entire site, while the breadcrumb menu shows all the current page’s parent pages. To choose

1. Go to the Refined Administration.

2. Click Sites in the left-hand menu.

3. Pick the site you want to work with.

4. Go to the Configuration tab.
