Communicate important information to your users by adding an announcement banner to the top of your Refined site. For example, a banner can inform users of scheduled maintenance or an upcoming event.
You can show banners on an entire site or on specific pages.

Go to the Refined Administration.
Click Sites in the left-hand menu.
Select the site.
Go to the Audience Featuresfeatures tab.
Click + Create Announcement.

LocationScope | You can show banners on an entire site or on specific pages. The announcement banner shows up on the selected pages plus all pages that are located below it in the site structure. You can also set an announcement banner on the login page. |
Link URL and | Add Fill in these fields to add a link to the right side of the announcement banner. Adding only a URL will show that exact link in the banner. By also adding a Link text, you create a clickable text that opens the link. |
Published | The banner isn't only visible on your site until you check this box to publish itif this setting is turned on. |
Closable | If you check thisboxthis setting is turned on, users can close the banner. OtherwiseIf the setting is off, the banner stays visible while users browse the site. |
Type | You can choose one of four banner types: warning, alert, info, and announcement news. The icon and banner color change depending on the banner type. |
