In addition to adding Jira projects, you can structure your sites in the Site Builder using categories:

  • Each category in your category menu has a category home: a landing page for this category. You edit the content of these pages in the Layout Editor.

  • The categories show up in site navigation menu, which is located at the top of your site.

  1. Go to the Site Builder.

  2. Click the + (Plus) button in the top right corner of a site block.

  3. Set up the category.

Setting

Description

Name and url

Set the category’s (visible in the top navigation of the site) and URL path (at the ending of the URL for that category).

Permissions

Choose one of the following view permissions:

  • Inherit - apply the same permissions as for the parent site or the parent category.

  • Anonymous users - make the site visible to anonymous users.

  • Logged in users.

  • Groups - manually set the Jira User Groups that can see see this category. 

Theme

Set the category’s theme.

Add items to the category (optional)

Edit a category

  1. Go to the Site Builder.

  2. Click a category’s Cogwheel > Edit category.

  3. Set up the category (see the settings table above).
