Add UI steps macros to a page

This solution consists of an outer macro which is a container for inner macros (the individual steps). In the example above, we created one UI Steps macro that contains three UI Step macros.

  1. In the Confluence editor’s top menu, click + > View more or Other macros.

  2. Find and select the UI Steps (with an -s) macro.

  3. Inside the UI Steps macro, place as many UI Step (without an -s) macros as you want. Click Insert > View more or Other Macros and select the UI Step macro. Add content below each UI Step bar.

Add steps to a page

  1. Hit the / key or click the + in the editor toolbar.

  2. Find and select the Refined Step Container macro.

  3. Place a Refined step macro inside the container, and add content under it. Repeat this step to create multiple steps.

Although all steps are numbered 1 in the Confluence editor, they are numbered correctly when publishedon the published page.

In general, we don’t support adding third-party macros within the step macros. One exception is the EazyBI macro: see which settings are needed to achieve this.

Limitations

Due to Atlassian limitations, smart links within steps are shown as the full URL on the published page. We suggest adding links to text instead.
