For Site and Category View Permissions

Go to: Admin > Site Builder > Settings icon > Edit > View Permissions

Use view permissions to show only relevant content to users. View permissions can be managed for a site, category and sections on customer portals. Read more about using section permissions here.

The view permissions for the site determines what users will have access to see this site.

• Anonymous users means this site and its content is available to all users, including users not logged in. You can hide certain content using view permissions on Site and Category homes. Refined respects any permission set in Jira, and a user will not see content that is not available via Jira settings. 

• Admin permissions - Add users or Jira User Groups here to delegate Site Admin responsibility to users.

permissions determine what users can see. Use site, link and category view permissions to show only relevant content. View permissions do not override the Service Desk permissions. These still need to be configured in Jira. 

View permissions for Sites and Categories

Use permissions for Sites and Categories if you want some users to find and navigate to a specific site or category, while other navigate to another. You can make a Site To manage site and category view permissions:

1. Go to the Refined Administration.

2. Click on the Site Builder tab.

3. Click the Cogwheel of the site, link or category. If the lock icon is closed, view permissions are already active.

4. Click Edit > View Permissions.

You can make a site visible to anonymous users, logged-in users or specified user groups. 

Go to: Site Builder > Edit Site or Category you want to add view permissions to. If the lock icon is closed, that means there is already view permissions added to the Site.

Add the relevant Site or Category view permissions.

View permissions for layout sections

It is also possible to set view permissions on specific page layouts Refined respects any permission set in Jira, and a user will not see content that is not available via Jira settings.
