Refined for Confluence comes with a wide range of macros that help you take your sites to the next level.

Macros are used on pages, user dashboards, and space layouts. Modules are used on site and category homes.

Macro basics

Add a macro to a page

  1. Go to the Confluence editor.

  2. From the editor toolbar, choose Insert (+) > Other Macros.

  3. Select a macro from the list.

  4. Enter any required parameters.

  5. Choose Insert.

In the editor you'll see a placeholder that represents the macro. Once you publish your page, you'll see the macro in action.

Add a macro to a user dashboard or space layout

  1. Go to the Editor.

  2. Open the Macro Browser and search for the macro.

  3. Enter any required parameters. Tip: in some macros, you can use text variables to make their content dynamic.

  4. Choose Insert.

In the editor you'll see a placeholder that represents the macro. Once you publish your page, you'll see the macro in action.

Edit a macro

To change a macro’s settings:

  1. Go to the Editor.

  2. Click the macro > Edit.

  3. Enter any required parameters.

  4. Choose Insert.

Refined macros

Click a macro to learn what it can do. Any macros involving Atlassian or third-party add-ons (like the Team Calendars macro) can be found under Third Party Integrations.
