Sitemaps BETA

A sitemap is a file that lists the pages on your site and helps search engines such as Google and Bing crawl and index your site.

You can only generate a sitemap for a public site. It includes all pages on your site that are available to anonymous users. When you have created a sitemap for a public site and later switch the access permissions to private or support, the sitemap is no longer accessible. The site is then no longer crawled by search engines.

Create a sitemap for a site

  1. Go to the Refined Administration.

  2. Click Sites in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the site.

  4. Click the Configuration tab.

  5. Scroll down to the Sitemap heading and click Generate sitemap.

  6. Your sitemap is now available at (subdomain).(domain).com/sitemap.xml, ready for you to submit it at the search engine(s) of your choice.

Update the sitemap of a site

  1. Go to the Refined Administration.

  2. Click Sites in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the site.

  4. Click the Configuration tab.

  5. Scroll down to the Sitemap heading and click the Refresh sitemap button. The sitemap’s URL will stay the same: (subdomain).(domain).com/sitemap.xml. Don’t forget to resubmit the sitemap to the search engine(s) of your choice.
