The Layout Editor macro lets you use modules on your Confluence pages. Modules make your Confluence space dynamic and interactive, which helps users find the right content.

How to use the Layout Editor macro

Instead of duplicating a page that contains a Layout Editor macro, create a new page and add a new Layout Editor macro. Due to Atlassian limitations, any changes made to the content layout of the new page would be reflected on the original page.

  1. In the Confluence editor’s top menu, click + > View more or Other macros.

  2. Find and select the Refined Layout Editor macro.

  3. Save the page to go out of Edit mode and into View mode.

  4. Click the Start editing your layout button to add modules to the page.
