Users can search the contents of your site in multiple ways. Depending on where the user searches, results can include:
Articles from Confluence spaces that are added to projects in native JSM as knowledge bases
Pages from Confluence spaces that you added to your Refined site
Jira Software issues
JSM request types
Navigation links (from the site's top menu)
Searching in modules
The Search Highlight module shows results based on its location.
Search highlight module placed on | Gives search results from |
---|---|
The site’s home page | The entire site |
The landing page of a Confluence space or JSM project | Any sub-item grouped underneath that space or project in the Site Builder |
A Refined Page that uses modules to show content from a Jira Software project or Confluence space | Those projects or spaces |
A Refined Page page that doesn’t use modules to show content from a Jira Software project or Confluence space | The entire site |
If your site features a knowledge base, users who create a request will see suggested knowledge base articles based on their keywords when filling in the summary field.
Searching via the navigation menu
Users search content from your entire site with the magnifying glass in the navigation menu.
Sidebar search in Confluence space
The sidebar search is located in the left-hand menu of a page that is created from a Confluence space. It only gives results from within this Confluence space.
