Place banners at the top of your sites to communicate important information to your users. You can show announcements on an entire site, a specific category, or a specific service desk portal. For Jira Service Management, it can also be shown on the login page.

Create and manage announcement banners

Project administrators and project agents can create and manage PSRs for:

  • Specific Service Desk portals

Jira administrators and Refined administrators can create and manage PSRs for:

  • The JSM login page

  • All Refined sites (global)

  • Specific Refined sites

  • Specific Service desk portals

  • Specific categories

Project administrators and project agents

  1. Go to the project.

  2. In the left-hand menu, go to Refined customer portal > Announcements.

  3. You’ll see an overview of active banners: read more below. Here you can:

    1. Click + Create announcement to add a new banner.

    2. Click an announcement’s Cogwheel to edit, copy or delete it.

  1. Go to the Refined Administration.

  2. Go to the Announcements tab.

Message

The content of your announcement.

Location

The announcement banner shows up on the location you choose, as well as all its child pages. From the dropdown menu you can select global (all sites) or login page. Alternatively, type to select a specific site, category, or service desk.

Published

Check this to display the announcement: consider it a draft when it is not checked.

Closable

By default, active banners always stay visible while users browse the site. If you check this box, users can close the banner.

Type

You can choose one of four banner types: warning, alert, info, and announcement. The icon and banner colour change depending on the banner type.
