Users can search the contents of your site in multiple ways. Depending on where the user searches, results can include:

  • Articles from Confluence spaces that are added to projects in native JSM as knowledge bases

  • Pages from Confluence spaces that you added to your Refined site

  • Jira Software issues

  • JSM request types

  • Navigation links (from the site's top menu)

  • Promoted Search Results

Searching in modules

The Search Highlight module shows results based on its location.

Any sub-item grouped underneath that space or project in the Site Builder

If your site features a knowledge base, users who create a request will see suggested knowledge base articles based on their keywords when filling in the summary field.

Searching via the navigation menu

Users search content from your entire site with the magnifying glass in the navigation menu.

Sidebar search in Confluence space

The sidebar search is located in the left-hand menu of a page that is created from a Confluence space. It only gives results from within this Confluence space.
