Refined for Confluence and Refined for Jira
This guide shows you how execute a full migration between servers. If you only want to transfer Refined settings and configurations from test to production, click here.
Data from Refined for Confluence/Jira is stored in the same database as Confluence/Jira. In addition to this we are also storing some files in a folder inside the Confluence/Jira home folder.
When you are migrating data between environments, for example from a production instance to a test instance, you'll need to manually copy the Refined data folder. The Refined data folder contains data for themes and layouts, including images.
Missing images or themes?
If you are facing an issue that images or themes are not displayed when you have migrated to Data Center, it is likely caused by Refined’s data folder. You need to manually copy this folder from the original server to the destination server (see path above). If you have done this but the images are still not displayed, please check the permissions of the Refined data folder. The folder should be owned by the same user who owns the Confluence or Jira home folder.
Sometimes you'll need to do a hard refresh of the page to get the images to show up. On Windows/Linux: Press Ctrl & F5, on Mac: Press Cmd & Shift & R.
Please note:
Changing context path might result into images not displaying. This applies to images in themes and layouts.
Links with absolute URLs will still point to the old instance. This is why we recommend using relative links.
