Content and structure items
Most sites consist of a mix of these items that let you shape your site’s content and structure:
A Refined Page is a customizable landing page. It is not connected to any specific Confluence or Jira content itself. However, you can use it to show content from the spaces and projects that you group underneath it in the Site Builder. Any item that you nest below a Refined Page appears in a drop-down list in your site’s navigation menu.
Menu Folders also let you create drop-down lists in the navigation menu. As opposed to a Refined Page, a Menu Folder doesn’t have a landing page.
When you add a Confluence space, you create a customizable landing page for the space. Through this page, users can access the Confluence space’s pages and blogs.
When you add a JSM project, you create a customizable landing page for the project. Users can create and view requests on this page.
When you add a Jira Software project, you create a customizable landing page for the project. Users can create and view issues on this page.
Links let you direct users to any page you want, on or off your site, straight from your site’s navigation menu.
Item hierarchy: shape the navigation menu
The navigation menu is your Refined site’s main menu, located at the top of all pages. The navigation menu reflects the content and structure created in the Site Builder. An organized menu helps your visitors find the right content on your site.
Simply drag and drop items to arrange them into a hierarchy. Group items underneath Refined Pages and Menu folders to create drop-down lists in the site navigation menu.
For example, you can create four menu folders which will be the main navigation menu items on your intranet: Teams, Projects, Resources and HR. Everything you group underneath these folders in the Site Builder appears in drop-down lists in the menu.

Interactions with other permissions
You can also set general site access permissions and granular permissions on specific content on landing pages of Refined pages, Confluence spaces, Jira projects, and JSM projects.
All types of permissions are closely related and may impact each other. For example, a user who doesn’t have access to a landing page still won’t be able to see a section that’s set to be Accessible to anyone.
Edit an item’s customizable page
Click the item’s … (Three dots) > Edit Page.
The page opens in the Page Builder.

In the popup that appears, click the Delete button to confirm your action.
