The button module offers a clearly visible way to direct users to another page.

Button module

Add this module to a page

  1. Open the Page Builder on the page you want to edit. This can be:

  2. Hover your mouse over the desired location on the page and click the + Add module button that appears.

  3. Click Buttons in the left-hand menu.

Edit the button’s text

Simply click the button’s text to edit it. Use text variables to add dynamic content, such as the current user’s name.

Edit the button’s settings

  1. Click the module to open its settings menu, which appears on its right-hand side.

  2. Edit the settings, which are divided over multiple tabs:

Add a URL to make the entire module direct the user to another page.

We recommend using relative links to ensure that links will keep working regardless of your site’s domain name. For example, this is important if you use several instances (like test/staging and production) and reuse layouts between them.

Open in a new tab

If you added a link to the entire module, toggle this setting on to open the page in a new tab.

Background

Choose an Image, Color, or Gradient as background – or turn off the background by selecting None.

There are multiple ways to pick a color:

  • Select the shade and hue at the top of the popup.

  • Enter an RGB, RGBA, or hex code.

  • Click the eyedropper icon to select a color from anywhere on the page (available in the browsers Firefox and Edge).

  • Click one of the recently used colors.

Use the vertical slider in the middle of the popup to control the color’s opacity.

Spacing between elements

Set the amount of space between the module’s contents. Choose between Tight, Default, Spacious - or click Custom to fill in a specific amount of pixels.

Padding inside

Set the amount of space between the module’s content and its border. Choose between Tight, Default, Spacious - or click Custom to fill in a specific amount of pixels.

Horizontal element alignment

Align the content to the left, middle, or right of the module.

Drop shadow

Add a shadow behind the module.

Fixed height

By default, all modules adjust their size to their content. To set a fixed height instead, fill in the desired height in pixels.

Icon

The icon library contains more than 250 icons. Browse through the different categories, or scroll all the way up the list to search for icons based on keywords. Recently used icons are highlighted at the top of the list.

Style

  • A Regular button is filled with a background color.

  • A Border button has only an outline.

  • A Text button has no background color or outline.

Size

Choose between Small, Medium, and Large.

Color
