By default, all your organisation’s Jira Administrators have administrator rights in Refined. You can also assign Refined Administrator roles to any other Jira user in your organisation, giving them the same administrator rights. Likewise, you can assign Site Administrator rights to a Jira users, allowing them to edit all settings of a specific Refined site. This way, all your colleagues can contribute to your Refined sites.

To see an overview of users with administrative rights, go to Refined Administration > Permissions.

Jira and Refined Administrators

Jira Administrators and Refined Administrators can manage:

  • Sites

  • Themes

  • Integrations

  • Global images

  • Accounts and billing

  • Permissions

  • Page layouts

To add Refined Administrators:

  1. Make sure you are logged in as Refined Administrator or Jira Administrator, and that the user is a licensed Jira user. 

  2. Go to Refined Administration > Permissions.

  3. Add a user or user group.

Site Administrators

A Site Administrator can manage one or several Refined Sites, including:

  • Editing layouts of sites and their categories, JSM portals, and Jira projects.

  • Editing settings such as theme, navigation, permission, and start site setting.

  • Adding Jira projects that are not added to a different site.

To add Site Administrators:

  1. Make sure you are logged in as Refined Administrator or Jira Administrator, and that the user is a licensed Jira user. 

  2. Go to Refined Administration > Site Builder.

  3. Click on the site’s Cogwheel and scroll down to Admin permissions.

  4. Add a user or user group.
