While the crisp branded look that Refined adds to Confluence pages is widely appreciated by users, there are situations where you may want to show your pages exactly how they look in native Confluence. For example when they include some of the few formatting or macros that Refined doesn’t (fully) support.

In that case, embed Confluence pages on private Refined sites so they look just as they do in native Confluence:

  • Display any third-party macro

  • Show all original formatting

  • Edit the page directly on the Refined site (if user has Confluence permissions to do so).

You can find the Embedded pages setting in your site’s global and custom space settings.

Availability and limitations
This feature is available as beta - what to consider before enabling Embedded Confluence Pages.

You can now easily access the /wiki/spaces/~62f636d425abc07e51c8b330/pages/4704241912 directly from within the Site Builder, by clicking a content item’s … (Three dots) > Edit Page.

This makes it even easier to customize the content and look of a page (Refined Page, page connected to a Confluence space, page connected to a Jira project, or page connected to a JSM project).

Did you hear? We’re replacing the Layout Editor with our new what-you-see-is-what-you-get Page Builder. This intuitive tool lets you see your design come to life in real time as you build.

You now have have more control over the looks and content of your navigation menu:

  • Fine-tune your branding by setting a hover colour for menu items:

    • Go to the Theme Editor.

    • Click Header.

    • Under the General heading, set the Item background colour.

  • Hide the Login button, for example on public documentation sites on which the majority of users will only read information and has no reason to log in.

  • Hide menu folders to slim down your menu’s content.
