To use Refined’s rendering and theming on specific JSM portals, while keeping others in the default Atlassian JSM:
Go to the Refined Administration.
Go to the Jira Service Management tab.
Toggle Enable Refined globally off.
This will prevent navigation to the global landing page from being redirected to the Refined themed portal. Instead, navigating to myDomain/servicedesk/customer/portals
will stay on that page rather than ending up on the Refined portal.
Go to the Site Builder to determine to which sites you apply Refined:
Keep the portals you want to render in the default view in the site marked as the Global JSD site.
For any portals you want to render with Refined, you can create additional sites or work with the portals themselves.
Apply themes to specific sites
You can create an additional site that you set up and assign a theme. All additional sites created in addition to the global one are always considered themed with Refined. This will also give you a dedicated separate landing page url under plugins/servlet/desk/site/{key}
which will be themed and from where you can access the portals.
Apply themes to specific portals
To just work with the portals themselves, go to the Site Builder and click the Cogwheel of the portal which would then be placed in the global JSM site > Edit.
In the edit dialog you’ll see an info message informing you that currently no users will be redirected to the themed site for that portal, since the global redirection is off. Scrolling down past the main settings, you’ll see a theme section where you have the option to Activate Theming.
Click Activate theming and select a theme. Once done, you’ll see themed portals denoted by a small theme icon in the Site builder. Any navigation to this portal will now redirect to the Refined version and present the user with the Refined portal landing page. Other non-themed portals will render in default Atlassian.
