Themes determine the look of your sites. Choose a pre-set theme, or apply your organisation’s branding by building your own custom theme. By applying different themes to each of your sites, a knowledge base and an intranet can have different looks. You can also create themes for special occasions, like a holiday theme that you temporarily add to your intranet.

See an overview of your themes

Go to the theme overview to see all themes in your instance:

  1. Head to the Refined Administration.

  2. Click the Themes tab.

Active themes are marked with a green label. Hovering or clicking the label will show you where the theme is applied in the Site Builder.

Create and edit a theme

In the theme overview, click Create theme to start a theme from scratch. You can also create a new theme based on an existing theme, by copying it and editing the copy. To edit a theme, click on the theme’s Cogwheel > Edit.

You are now in the Theme Editor, where you can customise the site’s main appearance, header, navigation menu, site home, spaces, sidebar, and keyboard navigation.
