This functionality was previously called Recommended Links.
Use Promoted Search Results (PSRs) to improve your users' search experience. It lets you decide which pages are suggested to users when they search for specific key terms. This reduces the amount of time users have to spend looking through documentation, for example.
Enable PSRs
Promoted Search Results are enabled when a Search Highlight Module exists on a site home, category home or customer portal. This module is placed on these pages by default, but can be manually removed.
Create and manage PSRs
Project administrators and project agents can create and manage PSRs for:
Specific Service Desk portals
Jira administrators and Refined administrators can create and manage PSRs for:
All Refined sites (global)
Entire Refined sites
Specific Service Desk portals
Specific categories
Project administrators and project agents
Go to the project.
In the left-hand menu, go to Refined customer portal > Promoted Search Results.
You’ll see an overview of active Promoted Search Results: read more below. Here you can:
Click + Create link to add a new link.
Click a link’s Cogwheel to edit or delete it.
Jira administrators and Refined administrators
Go to the Refined Administration.
Head to the Promoted Search Results tab.

Click + Create link to add a new PSR.
Click a PSR’s Cogwheel to edit or delete it.
Settings
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Title | The link’s title that the user who is searching will see. |
Location | Select Global (all sites) or type to select a specific sites, category or JSM portal. |
URL | Enter the URL that the user should be directed to. |
Open in new window | Select to let the link open in a new browser window. |
Match word | The link is suggested when a user searches for these key terms. |
Overview
The overview of currently active PSRs includes:
Title
Creation date
Location
Link statistics. We keep track of how often each link is clicked and when it was clicked last. This helps you identify what your users are looking for, so you can delete the links that no longer serve their purpose.
