Use custom code on landing pages, for example to embed a video or social media feed.

Enable or disable the HTML module

Before you can use HTML modules on landing pages, it needs to be enabled on your site:

  1. Go to the Refined Administration.

  2. Select the site you want to work with.

  3. Click the Configuration tab.

  4. Under the Security heading, toggle Enable HTML module on.

Disabling the HTML module doesn't delete the HTML modules you added to your site, but hides them until you enable the HTML module again.

Add this module to a landing page

  1. Open the Page Builder on the page you want to edit. This can be:

  2. Hover your mouse over the desired location on the page and click the + Add module button that appears.

  3. Click HTML in the left-hand menu.

To embed content, add HTML into the module. Learn how to get HTML for:

 YouTube video
  1. Go to the video on YouTube.

  2. Click Share > Embed.

  3. Copy the HTML.

 Vimeo video
  1. Go to the video on Vimeo.

  2. Click Share > Embed.

  3. Copy the HTML.

 Google Maps location
  1. Select a location on the map.

  2. Click Share.

  3. Click Embed a map.

  4. Copy the HTML.

 Facebook content

Go to Facebook’s social plugins overview to learn how to embed content like a page or a Share button.

 LinkedIn post
  1. Go to the post on LinkedIn.

  2. Click the More icon in the top right corner of the post.

  3. Click Embed this post.

  4. Click Copy code from the pop-up window that appears. You’ll receive a notification in the bottom left corner of your screen telling you that the code has been copied to your clipboard.

 X (Twitter) timeline (feed)
  1. Go to https://publish.twitter.com/

  2. Enter the URL of the timeline (feed) you’d like to embed.

  3. Customize the design by specifying the height and theme (light or dark) to match your website. 

  4. Copy the HTML.

 Instagram content
  1. Go to the content (like a post, reel, or guide) on Instagram.

  2. From the post or profile you’d like to embed, click the three dots in the top right.

  3. Click Embed, then click Copy Embed Code. If you don’t see Embed, the post or account may be private or may have embeds turned off.

 Google Form
  1. Go to a form in Google Forms.

  2. In the top right, click Send.

  3. At the top of the window, click Embed.

  4. Copy the HTML.

 Google calendar
  1. On a computer, open the Google Calendar (you can’t get the HTML in the Google Calendar app).

  2. In the top right, click Settings.

  3. On the left side of the screen, click the name of the calendar you want to embed.

  4. In the Integrate calendar section, copy the iframe code displayed. 

  5. Under the embed code, click Customize.

  6. Choose your options, then copy the HTML.

Your embedded calendar will only be visible to people you've shared it with. To allow all visitors to see your calendar, you'll need to make it public.

You can also add a button that lets users save your event to their own Google Calendars. You can find this option under More actions > Publish event.

 Yelp reviews
  1. Find the review on the desktop site (http://Yelp.com only).

  2. Click on the More Options button (the three dots).

  3. Click Embed review.

  4. Copy the HTML.

Edit the module settings

  1. Click the module to open its settings menu, which appears on its right-hand side.

  2. Edit the settings, which are divided over multiple tabs:

Add a URL to make the entire module direct the user to another page.

Open in a new tab

If you added a link to the entire module, toggle this setting on to open the page in a new tab.

Background

Choose an Image, Color, or Gradient as background – or turn off the background by selecting None.

There are multiple ways to pick a color:

  • Select the shade and hue at the top of the popup.

  • Enter an RGB, RGBA, or hex code.

  • Click the eyedropper icon to select a color from anywhere on the page (available in the browsers Firefox and Edge).

  • Click one of the recently used colors.

Use the vertical slider in the middle of the popup to control the color’s opacity.

Spacing between elements

Set the amount of space between the module’s contents. Choose between Tight, Default, Spacious - or click Custom to fill in a specific amount of pixels.

Padding inside

Set the amount of space between the module’s content and its border. Choose between Tight, Default, Spacious - or click Custom to fill in a specific amount of pixels.

Horizontal element alignment

Align the content to the left, middle, or right of the module.

Drop shadow

Add a shadow behind the module.

Fixed height

By default, all modules adjust their size to their content. To set a fixed height instead, fill in the desired height in pixels.
