In Refined Toolkit’s modules and macros, you can use text variables to create dynamic content. For example, use them to personally welcome a user to the page.

Text variables

Text variable

Effect

$username

$userfullname

$userfirstname

Shows the current user’s username, full name, or first name. These names are set up in users' Atlassian accounts. For example, write “Welcome, $username” to personally welcome a user to your intranet.

$spacename

Shows the name of the space. For example, write “Welcome to $spacename” to welcome a user to your team’s space.

This comes with the added benefit that you don't have to update text and settings when you make changes to your site, or when you export/import landing page layouts.

Text variables also work in advanced filters in modules that allow CQL.
