Expand (Container) macros

The expand macro let you organize content into expandable items. The look of the macro may differ depending on your Confluence editor’s version. The macro setup works the same.

Add expands to a page

  1. Hit the / key or click the + in the editor toolbar.

  2. Find and select the Refined Expand Container macro.

  3. Place a Refined expand macro inside the container, and add content under it. Repeat this step to create multiple expandable items.

Edit the macro

Click the macro > the pencil icon to edit the macro’s settings.

Check this box if the item should be expanded by default.

Limitations

Due to Atlassian limitations, smart links within tabs are shown as the full URL on the published page. We suggest adding links to text instead.
