1. Improved category organiser
With the new category organiser you can add custom links to categories and subcategories. Â We're also introducing sorting of spaces and links inside a category. This makes it very easy to organise your wiki and create a powerful navigation menu.
2. Improvements to the category menu (Main navigation)
Choose if you want to display space icons
We've added an option to not display space icons in the category drop down menu. This option is located in the category section of the theme configuration page:

UI improvements
We've made UI improvements to the category menu for our 5 bundled designs. The click area to expand the category drop down is bigger and more intuitive.Â
3. Introducing a customisable footerÂ
The new footer feature allows you to create a good looking footer in no time. Add links to pages inside your wiki or to external sites. Choose if you want to use a light or a dark footer theme.Â
4. Improved admin UI
We have added a navigation bar on top of all RefinedWiki Original Theme admin pages to bring them all together. Â

1. Support for Confluence 5
Introducing support for Confluence 5.Â
New menu layoutÂ
With Confluence 5 we have released a new menu layout. Menu items are grouped in to global, space and content menus.
Due to the brand new UI and user experience of Confluence 5, we will make more changes to the space level navigation as we go. New navigation features will be added in minor releases (3.4.x).
2. New logo layout
The global logo is always displayed in the top left section of the page. Space logos and user avatars are displayed in the menu bar. We recommend you to use quadratic space logos to make the menu bar look really good.

3. User dashboard changes
All usernames is by default redirected to the user dashboard. You can change this behaviour in the user section of the Refined Administration - the main configuration page. (Please note that this option is removed when using Confluence 5. Confluence 5 is linking all usernames to it's profile page)
The half hidden user dashboard located on the homepage of a personal space is removed. The user dashboard can always be accessed from a personal space by clicking on the avatar in the sidebar menu.Â
4. Improved breadcrumbs view
Breadcrumbs are now included above the title of a page. If you click the dotted arrow you will get the whole path in a dialog. Please note that this feature is not available for the Original and Point design (They already have breadcrumbs in the header).Â
5. Improved top menu layout
The top menu have got a facelift. We have also removed obsolete links to Personal space, Create space and Feed builder which all can be accessed through other menus.Â

1. Introducing User dashboards with Skype, HipChat and Twitter integrations
The new user dashboard includes user details, activities, status updates and personal network. Integration with Skype, HipChat and Twitter is also available. The user dashboard is connected to the default Confluence user settings with a new menu located on the left hand side. Vcards includes HipChat and Skype status.Â
2. Key navigation 2.0Â
Press n to show the key navigation, use the arrows to navigate to an option and release to execute your choice. The new key navigation is adjusting itself depending on what kind of content the user is currently viewing.
It includes the following options:

3. Introducing a new designÂ
Introducing a new design called Sharp.
4. Introducing the Twitter Macro
Display integrated twitter feeds with Confluence status updates.Â
5. Introducing the User Details Macro
Display user contact details including Skype and HipChat status.
6. Improved page tree functionality
The new rw-pagetree macro is fully integrated with the RefinedWiki key navigation. Press n, navigate to the left with the arrow keys and release to execute your choice. Key navigation is now activated on the page tree, use the arrow keys to navigate to a page in the tree.Â
Children of the active page are always visible.Â
7. Performance improvementsÂ
The new manual category permission option allows admins to manually set permissions to categories, which improves performance for large instances.
8. Design editor improvements
Images and velocity macros can now be included in designs with an autocomplete feature. Start typing # and velocity macros suggestions will start popping up. Type ! or $im and image suggestions will start popping up.   Â
9. New breadcrumbs feature
Breadcrumbs is now displayed in an inline dialog accessed by the the breadcrumb button in the menu bar.

1 Introducing a new design called edgeÂ
2 Hide and Show menu bar.
We are introducing a feature which allows the user to hide and show the menu bar, very useful if most of the users are viewers. The menu visibility state is saved. E.g. You can hide the menu and navigate around and show it again when it's time for some editing.
3 Performance improvements
Performance improvement to the Spaces in categories macro and Activity stream macro. The categories are now loaded first when the user hover over the category filter settings. This improves the performance a lot, especially for large instances with many users and groups.
4 Design editor improvements
Editing of multiple files
All active files are displayed with a * next to it. Unsaved files are located below the editor window.
Upload newer version of a design
A newer version of a design can be uploaded. The user will get an option to overwrite the current version of the design.

1 Blogging
The new blog mode allows you to turn a space blog in to a "real" blog in terms of behaviour and design. The look and feel can easily be customised and sharing to Twitter, Facebook and Google is just a click away. The blogs are easy to access through the new namespace:Â www.yourwiki.com/blog. The navigation between different blog posts are improved with a new calendar and with next / previous buttons.
2 Categories
2.1 We have made three big improvements to the category menu:
Category and space logos can now be displayed in the menu.
An automatic horizontal scroll will appear when there are too many categories.
Introducing a dynamic category mode. The size of the drop down will adjust to the number of subcategories and spaces in each category.Â
2.2 Default design on categoriesÂ
Designs doesn't need to be assigned to every category.Â
3 Activity Stream
3.1 Activity stream popup
The activity stream is accessible from any page in your wiki. Access it through the top menu or by the keyboard shortcut A (shift + a).
3.2 Popular and network tab added
Popular and network tabs are added to the activity feed (Activity stream) on the dashboard and to the popup.Â
3 Read blog posts in popup
Blog posts can now be read without leaving the page.Â
4 Improved admin UI
The admin UI is more solid and consistent. Sorting items is done with drag and drop.
5 Group permissions on top menu items.
View permission can now be granted to groups on custom top menu items.
6 Front end improvements
We have done a lot of under the hood changes. Basically all of our front end functions like: categories, blogs and macros are now loading its data from our REST API. This makes the UI nice and quick. We are also adding the HTML5 article tag to all pages and blog posts. The article tag is used by a lot of devices to display a more readable view of the content.

1 Organise spaces & categories with drag and drop
Spaces can be dragged to a category or subcategory.
A category can be dragged to a new position.
A subcategory can be dragged to a new category or subcategory. Subcategories can also be dragged to a new position.

The design editor is an online code editor which allows you to create your own designs with the use of RefinedWiki components. Start from scratch or start from one of our system designs.
3 Introducing the Top menu
Display useful links to pages and features inside the wiki or to external sites.Â
4 Category logo
You can assign a logo to a category. The category logo will be displayed instead of the global logo. Â The category logo is linked to the category dashboard.

5 Key navigation
We have introduce two new key navigation shortcuts.

6 The Point design got a facelift
The logo is now on the same level as the categories. This saves a lot of space!Â
7 rw_category_ is removed from all team labels
We have removed the rw_category_ identifier from all team labels. A space is mapped together with a category with a team label with the same name as the categoryKey.Â
8 New HTML structure
We have renamed classes and IDs of HTML elements in RefinedWiki Original Theme 3.0 to make our theme more compatible with other third party plugins. If you have made any style customisation with CSS you may have to make some changes to your CSS code.Â
