Site-building tool connected to your Atlassian instance
Refined Sites for Cloud is a SaaS tool that lives outside of Atlassian: it operates parallel to Confluence and JSM. Rather than changing your native Atlassian instance, you build sites in Refined. This offer a number of key advantages:
You can build any number of sites for a variety of purposes, and tailor each to a specific audience, all spun from the same instance. An intranet, a documentation site, etc.
Add only the content your audience needs, and nothing more, for a clean and clutter-free user experience. You can also add one single space or project to multiple sites.
Sites afford you extra granular control over access: on a site-level, and on a page-level. This makes it easy to personalize sites to show relevant content to certain audience groups. Of course, Confluence and JSM content permissions are always respected on Refined sites as well.
You can deliver richer self-help and support experiences by combining documentation from Confluence and service desks from JSM seamlessly on the same site (more on this below).

Managing content on Refined sites
All writers, editors, and agents still create and edit content in native Confluence and JSM. All updates they make there are instantly reflected on your Refined sites. It takes just the click of a button to move between Refined sites and native Confluence/JSM.
You manage all other aspects of the sites with Refined. This includes all non-Confluence pages (called landing pages), site navigation (navigation menu, search functionalities) and the site’s look and feel.
