Header and navigation menu

The site header is located at the top of all pages. It includes the navigation menu which reflects the site structure.

Change the navigation menu style

  1. Go to the site settings.

  2. Go to the Configuration tab.

  3. In the Navigation Menu Style section, choose Content or Breadcrumbs.

Change the header look and feel

The menu’s look and feel is determined by the site’s theme.

Add a logo to the header

  1. Go to the Refined Administration.

  2. Click Sites in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the site.

  4. Go to the Configuration tab.

  5. Set up the Site logo.

Site Switcher

The Site Switcher makes it easier for your users to navigate between your sites and to access other important links.

Search bar

Users search the site’s content by clicking the magnifying glass.

Cogwheel menu

The cogwheel menu is only available for administrators. It contains shortcuts to the Refined Administration, helpful resources, and the Atlassian Administration.

Login button

Users log in to your Refined site with their Atlassian Cloud account.

Avatar menu

The avatar menu (user menu) is only available to logged-in users. It's personalized depending on the user’s permissions and your site’s content:

If you have Refined Sites for Jira Service Management, users with the right permissions can see relevant requests and issues.

Pages

Users can save Confluence pages on your site for future reference, by clicking the Star icon in the top-right corner of a page. By clicking My favorite pages in the avatar menu, users see an overview of all pages they saved.

Cookie settings

This option is only visible if you added a cookie dialog to the site. Users can update their cookie preferences at all times.

Log out

After logging out from the site, users are not automatically logged out of Atlassian. If you want to emphasize to users that they also need to log out of Atlassian, enable the ”Log out from Atlassian” prompt.
