Let users create JSM requests on Confluence pages

Combine the power of Jira Service Management (JSM) and Confluence on your sites, by allowing users to create requests directly on your Confluence pages.

For example, this can simplify HR processes on your intranet: when reading the employee handbook, a user can quickly file a request on-page. When the request is sent, they’re back on the same employee handbook page. See the images below (click to enlarge).

Request types show up neatly on the page: as a button at the top right-hand side, and clearly formatted inline.
The user creates the request directly on-page. So once it’s sent, they can carry on with reading the same employee handbook page.

To do this, you need both Refined Sites for Confluence Cloud and Refined Sites for JSM Cloud. If you only have Refined for Confluence Cloud, these links will open in the native JSM view.

Add a JSM request type link to a Confluence page

  1. Add the JSM project to the site structure.

  2. Go to the project on your site.

  3. Click a request type and copy the URL.

  4. Paste the URL in a Confluence page.

  5. Visit the Confluence page on your site to see the results.
