Supported Confluence formatting and macros

Refined sites offer support for pages published with the new Confluence editor. Pages in the legacy editor may not work as expected. Not sure which editor you use? Read Atlassian’s documentation.

Refined adjusts the look of Confluence pages to make them blend in with your Refined site. In the table below, you can see which formatting and macros are supported.

Although the vast majority of Confluence pages are displayed without problem, you might want to add pages to your sites that include formatting or macros that aren’t supported. To show pages exactly as they look in Confluence, enable the embedded pages feature.

For information about macros and formatting from other third party Atlassian Marketplace apps, see the integrations and supported apps page.

Breakout

Ignored

Refined sites don’t support break out of images and tables, since all pages have the same width on a Refined site.

Placeholder

Ignored

Refined sites don’t show the placeholder module, since it doesn't add any value on a site.

Smart links

Partial

  • Inline view: links to Atlassian content

  • Card view: links to Atlassian content

  • Embed view: Figma, Canva, Youtube, Spotify, Vimeo and Google Drive (not editing)

When your smart link isn’t supported, we recommend adding the link to text instead. This always works on Refined sites.
